PMSS - Pontoon Multifunctional Modular System

Transport and handling of pontoons are very easy and pontoons can be transported by regular vehicles on a standard truck or railway wagon. Handling on the site and placement on the water surface is carried out by using a standard crane. Pontoons can be connected together in various sets - they can be folded into shapes as needed with regard to the specific purposes of use.

PMMS can be used especially in the construction and reconstruction of bridges, as well as in diagnosing the conditions, in the preparation of the terrain of watersheds, and cleaning of watercourses or reservoirs, both during routine maintenance and in emergency situations (e.g. floods). Pontoons can also be used to transport heavy machinery and cranes, which are needed for construction work conducted from the water surface. PMMS can also be used as a floating areas for civil purposes (e.g. floating exhibition areas, floating stages for musical performances and other cultural events) or military purposes (engineering bridge structures and other temporary structures).

However the absence of a similar system on the Czech and European markets, the implementation of these projects is expected to significantly strengthen competitiveness in this field. The system meets the requirements for strict safety standards for river floating facilities and is in accordance with current legislation in the field of environmental protection. This is a significant aid in repairs and replacement of a number of bridges in a state of emergency throughout the Czech Republic, and at the same time, the pontoons can be used as a reserve for unexpected natural disasters.
