CYCLING BRIDGE MOVEMENT MÜNSTER , GERMANY
Münster is a German city located in the northern part of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Approximately 321 thousand inhabitants live here. The vast majority of the population moves around by bicycle, and cyclists have almost exclusive rights to ride here, except at red traffic lights. Locals know their rights and understand how to use them very well, so if you drive, be careful!
The city is investing in new opportunities for cyclists and decided to build a new bridge not only for cyclists, but they want to continue using the old one, so they decided to relocate the old bridge. This is the task for us, we used 2 x 2 PMSS pontoons and the base of the lifting system, connected by cable ties. Transport on site was made possible by our Tirak cable system and the transfer, pusher tug Mignon under the command of Captain Reinhold Landau.
